Resident Evil 9: Requiem is the upcoming "Solo Horror Adventure game" and this game contains many Haunting, Actions and Epic Entry scenes, and that is the most favourite thing that most audience likes. This game has also introduced many new characters and other characters which are rumour and not yet confirmed. There is a lot saying among the audience that this game will be scary as hell, and let me tell you that it's true.
Story:-
30 years after the nuclear destruction of "Raccoon City" that has been done due to legal experiments by "UMBRELLA CORPORATION" and because of this, the whole city was filled with Zombies and Bio Weapons. Many epic characters came up through this hell place such as - "LEON", "Claire" and others. But now in this part, we have our new protagonist "Grace Ashcroft", who is an introverted and vulnerable "FBI Technical Analyst", and the daughter of "Alyssa Ashcroft" who was a investigative journalist and she was killed eight years ago while she was investigating the "Wrenwood Hotel" and now her daughter is going to continue this investigation in this mystery. Unlike our previous protagonists like "Leon" and "Chris", the new protagonist "Grace" is not a combat veteran.
Basic Tasks for Players:-
Players have to explore the decaying remnants of "Raccoon City", "eerie forests", and "ancient ritualistic ruins", solving puzzles, sneaking past bio-mutants, and also surviving with limited tools, and the main goal is to survive even in worst situations in adventures.
Visual Concept:-
This time developers have worked even more on Gaming Visuals and this time visual will be so realistic that players will actually get scared and tension in most serious situations of the game. The game introduces a dual perspective system, allowing players to switch between first-person and third-person view via the menu, and this feature enhances both immersion and cinematic storytelling, and with this feature, players can continue their progress and explore the storyline smoothly. Developers have also said that, they have worked on character "Grace Ashcroft" too, they have worked in every detail such as her hair, skin and eyes. This game is built using latest RE Engine.

This game was officially announced on June 6, 2025 in "Summer Game Fest 2025" event, Developer Showcase Gameplay was revealed on June 10, 2025 as "Capcom Developer Event" and this game is now expected to be released on February 27, 2026.

This game will only be available on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. A sad news for PS4 and Xbox 1 users, But game developer "CAPCOM" has gave us the clear reasons that, the game's scale, design and visuals are created in such a way that, only modern hardware machines can be able to handle this game smoothly with no loading screens, no interruptions and with better frame rates, and can be able to handle it's high graphics.
Confirmed Characters:-
1) Grace Ashcroft (Protagonist): FBI analyst, daughter of Alyssa Ashcroft, emotionally fragile yet main motive to uncover the truth.
2) Doctor Crowe (Antagonist): Cult leader and bioweapon engineer, who's work is to orchestrating horrific rituals and mutations in Wrenwood.
3) The Withered: Infected, semi-conscious villagers suffering grotesque mutations due to a mysterious new virus strain.
Rumored or Teased Characters:-
1) Alyssa Ashcroft: Journalist and mother of Grace, might referenced in notes, lore items and etc...
2) Leon S. Kennedy: Considered during development but confirmed to not appear as a main character but a cameo or indirect reference might be actually possible.
3) Umbrella or BSAA Operatives: Briefly seen in concept art and trailers, suggesting some military involvement.

As of now, official pricing has not been revealed. However, based on "Capcom's" recent "AAA" releases, the game is expected to be priced at:

What we heard till now, i say this game is really worth waiting for me and for many fans, this game might be beyond the expection of Resident Evil fans and the experiences we get from this game such as - Horrific movements, Serious situations, Epic fight scenes, and much more, might be totally next level. And with the expected date of February 27, 2026, i and everyone can say that there is a hell lot of work going on this game and if something cause an issue, this game might be delayed in the future.
