On March 18, 2025, the collaboration of LEGO × Pokémon was announced to the public, bringing 'Pokémon' into the world of 'LEGO' for the very first time. This also marks the end of Pokémon’s long association with "Mattel’s Mega Construx" and begins a fresh era with LEGO (the world’s most iconic brick‑toy brand btw). According to confirmed information, the collaboration will officially kick off in 2026 with LEGO teasing the project through silhouettes of Pikachu and other Pokémon on their website and social media. While LEGO has not yet revealed the exact product details, the company had confirmed that multiple sets are already in development. This announcement immediately gained the traction in worldwide, because 2026 will be a significant year as the "LEGO and Pokémon" brands are collaborating to release LEGO sets for the Pokémon 30th anniversary.
The First Product Leak (Rumoured):-
While the LEGO has kept many details secret, insider leaks have revealed the first major set: a 6,838‑piece "Kanto Starter Set" featuring some Pokémon such as - 'Bulbasaur', 'Squirtle', and 'Charmander'. This massive build is rumored to cost around US$650 and is also listed internally as Set #72153. Reports suggest 'LEGO Insiders' will get early access starting February 27, 2026, with a wider global release on March 1, 2026. The rollout is expected to cover the major markets including countries - North America, Europe, and Japan, and with staggered availability in other regions. Beyond this huge set, around 20 more retail sets are also rumored to release in waves throughout 2026, with some smaller "promo" or "BrickHeadz"‑style builds accompanying them. Some of the set is said to be focused more on adults, aligning with the earlier 18+ age recommendation, but far many sets will be designed for kids to play.
The Legend of Zelda Rumour:-
Alongside the Pokémon launch, there are also leaks about a LEGO "The Legend of Zelda: Ganondorf Diorama" from 'Ocarina of Time', and even this is planned for release in March 2026. If this is true, then this would extend LEGO’s expansion into 'Nintendo properties', following the success of 'LEGO Super Mario'. Even though these rumours remain unconfirmed till now, they have extremely increased the excitement among fans who dreamed of seeing two of the most beloved gaming franchises — Pokémon and Zelda in LEGO form.
