The final movie of Fast & Furious has been recently confirmed by producer "Vin Diesel", which is named as "Fast Forever", and is scheduled to hit theaters on March 17, 2028. This movie is backed by Universal Pictures. Even though Universal and the creative team didn't fully reveal the plot of this movie, but reliable reports indicate that this film continues the story directly from Fast X (2023).

Early indicators from interviews with Vin Diesel suggest the franchise could bring back Brian O’Conner, a beloved character portrayed by the late Paul Walker, through legacy storytelling techniques similar to Furious 7, where Walker’s brothers served as stand-ins and CGI was used respectfully.

Fast Forever was first announced on January 30, 2026, and will release in theaters on March 17, 2028. Louis Leterrier is the director who is returning from Fast X, Zach Dean is the writer who is credited with scripting this finale, Vin Diesel leads the production alongside Universal's veteran team and Universal Pictures will distribute this film worldwide.

Even though Universal Pictures has not publicly released an exact final figure, reports indicate that the studio is aiming for a budget of $200 million or less. Speaking of filming locations, early reports strongly point to Los Angeles and global locales as likely filming sites.
