There are some cases that file against Roblox for enabling sexual exploitation of minors and failing to implement sufficient safety controls. Due to this case, the platform is now on political pressure not from one country, but from the whole world because this case has put every country into doubt of about this platform. And again on 15 August 2025, Liz Murrill (Attorney General of Louisiana) sues Roblox and she believes that Roblox has became an environment where predators can contact and groom children, she also says that this platform has no age verification, moderation gaps, and much failures to warn families because it has no parental permissions as well. The Louisiana state lawsuit are targeting the CEO of Roblox Corporation for the failure of kid's safety and putting a blame on him of developing and encouraging of adult contents on this platform.
Due to lack of safety of kids and many signs of child exploitation risks and privacy concerns, Roblox has indeed banned in many countries such as - Turkey on August 7, 2024, Qatar on August 13, 2025, China on late 2021, North Korea, Jordan, Oman, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Guatemala and might be other more. Some of the countries like - Netherlands and Belgium and Indonesia has not banned this platform completely, but made very strict rules to handle it and due to these recent cases, there is a possibility that this platform gets banned in future in such countries too.
